History

ACCORD Restoration was incorporated in Baltimore, Maryland on October 1, 2004. Disbanded from Alex R. Szeles, Inc. (A.R.S.), which is a Pennsylvania based company with 30 years of experience in the restoration industry, ACCORD Restoration has grown into one of the largest multi-million dollar and premier full service insurance restoration companies in the greater Baltimore area.  ACCORD Restoration is a full service turn key operation that handles both commercial and residential property restoration losses.

Unlike many other local service providers, ACCORD Restoration completes the majority of restoration work in-house. ACCORD Restoration is proud to employ full-time local tradesmen (with benefits and company vehicles) rather than subcontract out such respective services. By doing the work with full-time tradesmen, ACCORD Restoration is better suited to quickly respond to any emergency. It enables us to quickly begin repairs and to ensure good old-fashioned quality craftsmanship, completed the right way.

In the Baltimore office, ACCORD Restoration employs five full-time estimators that are highly experienced and responsive to any type of disaster related property damage. Each can enact quick emergency response, put together a full assessment to repair any structure to it pre-loss condition and manage each respective project from initial devastation to a final, sound and well crafted restoration project.

In 2005, ACCORD Restoration opened a second service location in Millsboro, Delaware. Within this market, we have handled many claims over the years. Due to a lack of local and established restoration contractors in this area, many of our clients had a strong need for reliable and comprehensive restoration services.  As a result, we have transferred personnel from our Baltimore office, as well as hired local tradesmen as full-time employees with a full schedule of benefits. 

October 2009 marked another important milestone for ACCORD Restoration, when the third branch was opened in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The strategic location of the new office will assist and support the growing client base as ACCORD Restoration continues to establish itself as a leader in disaster and property damage restoration.

The company will continue to focus heavily on gaining market share in the mid-Atlantic in the coming years.
