Car Dealership Fire Damage

Cause
On Saturday, October 20, 2012, Jaguar Land Rover in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania caught fire in the rear repair shop area.

Damage Description
The fire began in the rear of the dealership in the repair shop. The shop sustained fire and smoke damage, and the large showroom area connected to the shop sustained soot and odor damage from the fire.

Action
ACCORD Restoration received the call at 9:30 a.m., and by 12:30 p.m. were on site to begin the repair work. The accord team was able to clean the large showroom and the office in the front section of the building by Monday morning so the business could re-open. To do so, crews worked around the clock. Then, once the fire investigation was complete, the ACCORD team began repair work in the rear shop area. The team worked diligently and was able to complete the job by November 17, 2012.

Impact on Claim
The dealership was able to re-open within 48 hours of the damage, helping to greatly minimize revenue loss. Dealership president Gary Cohen stated, “Under difficult circumstances you guys did a great job, and we will make sure to recommend your fine company.”
